About

I’m Vsevolod Klementjev. I make Klemy, Klemy Treadmill and Klemy Cycling on my own, in Latvia. I’ve made iOS apps for more than 15 years, mostly games before these. In 2011 I made iTileMaps, a tile map editor for iPad that game developers used.

I didn’t do any sport from school until 2023, when I finally understood that health is important. Friends and I planned a hiking trip to Iceland, so I went to the gym, first with a coach and after six months on my own. I liked it, but not the app I found to track it, and that’s when the app ideas came. Klemy was the first of them and the last one out, 952 days after the first commit.

My joints kept me from running until 2024. In winter I ran on the gym’s treadmills, and without GPS my Apple Watch often guessed speed and distance wrong, sometimes by more than a mile. I couldn’t find an app that let me match the treadmill speed by hand, so I made Klemy Treadmill. In 2025 I bought my first bike, and Klemy Cycling came together quickly from the treadmill app.

The fitness apps I see have feeds and social stuff, and track you and your data. I wanted private apps for introverts. Accounts are friction most apps don’t need, and ads are too much tracking.

I use all three myself, and some days I walk on a walking pad while I work. I used Klemy from TestFlight for months before release. Once a build just crashed on launch, and I couldn’t use it for that workout.
